THERE will be no lying down on the job at the Bev Marks Australia Rotary Charity Golf Day as golfers get ready to do the hard yards for a good cause.
The major beneficiary from this year's event is the Shelterbox Australia program, which provides emergency relief at places hit by natural disasters.
The day, organised by the Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills with Bev Marks Australia as the major sponsor, has been raising money for charities and special events for more than 20 years.
This year the event will be held at the Cranbourne Golf Club on Monday, March 1, when golfers and sponsors are expected to dig deep.
Organiser Peter Verey said Shelterbox was a deserving cause. "In the past year it has helped people affected by disasters such as the Black Saturday bushfires and the earthquake in Haiti.
"Shelterboxes provide everything that's needed for emergency accommodation and for people to survive."
Entries are still being taken. The entry fee is $75 per player and $20 per team for the teams event.
