THE Cranbourne juggernaut continued to roll in the Casey Cardinia Football League, with the Eagles thumping Hampton Park by more than 20 goals on Saturday to extend their break on the rest of the competition.
Skipper Marc Holt booted 10 goals, with another five multiple goalkickers for the Eagles in their 26.16 (172) to 5.7 (37) win.
The Eagles dominated from the outset, kicking 11 goals in the first half and 15 in the second, from 42 scoring shots to 12.
Matthew Rus and Troy Tharle-Adams led the way for the winners.
Just down the road, Narre Warren's Brett Evans amassed nine goals in his team's 20.17 (137) to 11.10 (76) demolition of Berwick .
The Magpies started slowly and led by just three points at the long interval but went on to boot 13 goals to four in the second half to win by 51 points. Josh Tonna was first class for the Pies and Michael Collins was again among his team's best players. Steve Finlayson and Nathan Page were the best of the Wickers.
Pakenham's Jack Kowarzik kicked six goals to help his side record a 34-point win against Tooradin, 15.15 (105) to 11.5 (71).
The Lions set up victory in the second quarter with six goals to two through the good work of John Atwell, Nathan Leishout and Chris Smith. Chad Liddell led from the front for the Seagulls with four goals, while Adam Splatt played his best game for the season.
Beaconsfield downed Doveton but didn't have things all their own way, getting home by three goals, 18.11(119) to 16.5 (101) .
The game was tight early and only seven points separated the sides at the long break. But eight Eagles goals in the third term put the game beyond doubt. The Doves came back in the last but couldn't get close enough to cause an upset.
Ryan Donaldson booted seven for the Eagles and Ryan Hendy seven for the Doves.
Keysborough's finals hopes went out the window after losing to Rythdale Officer Cardinia, 10.15 (75) to 12.13(85). The Kangaroos got their noses in front early and were able to hold off the Borough for the rest of the afternoon.
Kris Fletcher, with three goals, and Cameron Fletcher were keys in the win for the Kangas.
Luke McGuiness and Greg Walker got four each for the Borough and Dean Gentle was named his side's best player.
