Jayco rolls on with Rangers

06 Jul, 2009 02:32 PM
THE longest-running naming rights sponsorship in the Women's National Basketball League, between the Dandenong Rangers and Jayco Corporation, will enter its 10th year next season.

Jayco marketing manager Andrew Ryan recently announced the continuation of the sponsorship for the 2009-10 season. DBA sponsorship and marketing manager Deb Weston said sponsorship from an iconic brand such as Jayco was invaluable in harsh economic times.

"We are thrilled to have Jayco back in its 10th year, in this tough economic climate to have the continued support of such an iconic brand as Jayco, is all the crucial to our on- and off-court success in the future."

DBA general manager Graeme Allan said Jayco would also continue its sponsorship of the Shoot for the Stars schools program.

"In excess of 3000 children will benefit from the program throughout the year. The feedback from schools has been extremely positive and the program will continue to flourish in 2010."

The program, which is in its second year, teaches children basketball skills and the importance of exercise, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.
