 Volunteers get handy guide

Volunteers get handy guide

30 Jun, 2008 06:07 PM
VOLUNTEERS at the Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre will be better equipped and resourced following a $2770 State Government grant to produce an information manual.

The manual will help volunteers to take part effectively in the centre and have access to a broad range of opportunities.

Gembrook MP Tammy Lobato said many people were keen to volunteer but were unsure of what was involved.

"Volunteers are crucial to community organisations and we need to ensure they have the support they need to be effective.

"This Volunteer Manual is a great tool to help volunteers learn the ropes,'' she said.
