Traditional ride back on track

23 Jun, 2008 12:24 PM
CASEY's Riding of The Bounds has now been scheduled for August 17 after being postponed earlier in the year.

The 20th anniversary event gives Berwick a chance to be part of the age-old tradition that begun in Casey's sister city, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, in the United Kingdom more than 550 years ago.

The riders inspect the boundaries of Casey and Cardinia, travelling a course that is about 15 kilometres and takes about 2 hours to complete.

The journey starts and finishes at Akoonah Park and goes around Berwick and Harkaway. Registrations close August 1. Details: 9705 5200 or www.casey.vic.gov.au/ridingoftheb ounds
