Tea parties stir up Casey to good cause

25 May, 2009 11:04 AM
IT was all smiles at Homewood Orthodontics in Berwick to kick off a series of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea events in Casey.

Staff, children and patients (pictured right) enjoyed a chat and plenty of homemade goodies with a cup of tea last Thursday, raising about $250.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council's leading fund-raising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.

More than $60 million has been raised since it first began in 1994.

Berwick Traders are hosting an event on Thursday with tea, coffee, cakes and pastries served at Gloria Jeans.

There are also separate morning teas on at Workshop Hairdressing and Pol Boutique.
