NARRE Warren South, Cranbourne and Dandenong residents now have extended operating hours on bus routes 892 and 893.
Route 892 covers Narre Warren South and Dandenong and Route 893 covers Cranbourne and Dandenong.
Improvements on route 892 include longer operating hours, an all-new Sunday service and increased weekday service frequencies.
There's also a Saturday timetable operating on public holidays and a Sunday timetable operating on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Member for Narre Warren South, Judith Graley MP, said the improvements were a significant boost to local residents.
New services started from last Monday and are among 58 bus routes across Melbourne that will benefit from extra services.
