 Stage invasion gets ovation

Stage invasion gets ovation

22 Sep, 2008 12:05 PM
BERWICK Secondary College's performance of Earth Invasion in last week's Rock Eisteddfod finals may not have earned them a top-three place, but it won high praise from the judges.

It was the only school to win the CCUSA Award of Excellence for Backstage Crew and its overall score was very good, the organisers said.

In particular, the students impressed judges with their choreography and drama.

Rock Eisteddfod Challenge event manager Mikaela Dockrill said it was a significant achievement for schools to get through to the grand final.

This year Rock Eistedfodd, now in its 29th year, is Australia's longest-running performance arts and health promotion event for youth.
