SPORTING clubs in the City of Casey can take advantage of the council's free weekly recycling service for aluminium cans, glass and plastic bottles, paper, cardboard, plastic containers and cartons.
Clubs have been offered 240 litre mobile garbage bins that can be used for co-mingled recycling.
Registration forms for this service need to be returned to the council by April 18.
Casey Mayor Janet Halsall said everyone needed to take action to divert waste from landfill.
"We can do this by ensuring recycling is taking place not only at home, but also at sports clubs, workplaces and anywhere that waste is created."
