GREASE will be the word at Dandenong's Drum Theatre next month when students from Flinders Christian College present their school musical.

The students from the Carrum Downs campus are in the final stages of rehearsals for their version of Grease.

The students from grade 5 to year 12 have been rehearsing since January.

Director John Pendergast said that while the students had been working hard, the process had been a lot of fun.

A cast of 60 students, band of 15 and backstage crew of 15 will be performing at the Drum from August 12-14. It will feature songs such as Summer Nights and Grease Lightnin'.

Pendergast said audiences could expect a fantastic night at the theatre.

Tickets: adults $18, concession $16, under 14 $14. Bookings: 97716666. Drum Theatre, Dandenong Town Hall, 226 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
