Showdown for BMX bandits

27 Apr, 2009 09:38 AM
YOUNG skaters and BMX riders can test their skills while competing for various prizes at the Cockatoo May-Fair this Saturday.

The council-run, community event has been jointly funded by the Federal Government, Cardinia Council and the Cockatoo Township committee.

The competition, from 10am-4pm, is divided into three categories - under 13, under 16 and open.

"Spectators will be amazed by the tricks produced by local young people competing in the competition," council youth project officer Andrew Bethune said.

All competitors must wear helmets and the safety equipment provided. Register by Thursday using downloaded forms from www.cardinia.vic.gov.au

Details: 1300 787 624.
