Rider killed at roundabout

27 Oct, 2008 10:39 AM
A 34-year-old Narre Warren man died after being thrown from his motorcycle in Narre Warren South last Thursday.

Casey's traffic management unit was called to the scene on Greaves Road about 11.30pm. Witnesses reported seeing the man riding his Harley Davidson west along Greaves Road before the accident.

Early investigations show the rider failed to negotiate a roundabout at the Berwick Springs Promenade intersection.

Police said no one else was involved in the accident and they are preparing a report for the coroner. The death brings the state's road toll to 257 for the year, five less than at the same time last year.
