YOUNG people trained through the Cardinia Shire Council's FreeZA committee are organising their first event for next month.
A DJ event, Alice in Wonderland Escape on September 17, will be a fully supervised dance drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free event for young people older than 13.
There were 13 young people who took part in a three-month training exercise to learn event management skills, developed in conjunction with Simply Events and the council's Electric Productions youth committee.
The event is on at the Koo Wee Rup Community Complex.
