CARDINIA police say that while an acute case of "excusitis" is infiltrating motorists the officers will be relentless in their efforts to reduce road trauma.
Sergeant Nigel Atkins said warnings in Cardinia were not negotiable and recent road behaviour only fueled the tenacity to increase police presence in the lead-up to Easter.
"We will place every available resource on our highways until it overflows. Be warned again: you will get caught."
Sergeant Atkins said since June 2008 an average of 35-40 drivers a month had lost their licences for exceeding the speed limit by more than 25kmh.
"This is outrageous. This form of anti-social road behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
On Saturday, March 21, a Berwick male, 21, was caught on Cardinia Road travelling at 130kmh in a 100kmh zone.
The vehicle was given a defect notice for two rear "bald" tyres and the driver's licence was suspended for one month.
"Any driver who drivers in such a manner has a disregard for their safety, their passenger(s) and that of the community," Sergeant Atkins said.
