ON behalf of Cardinia Shire Council, I take this opportunity to wish all residents a safe and happy Christmas.
The festive season is a chance to take time to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to look forward to the future.
Over the past year, the council has worked hard to foster strong partnerships with the people we represent and this will continue to be a priority for us in 2010.
We will continue our work on behalf of residents and ratepayers to ensure the wellbeing and security of everyone who lives and works in Cardinia.
Christmas is about caring and supporting our families, friends and the wider community.
On behalf of my fellow councillors, I wish you all an enjoyable and peaceful festive season with just the right amount of celebration.
However you spend your Christmas time, may it be really special and significant for you.
I commend reflection on its origin and ask that you remember to take extra care on the roads.
