NOMINATIONS have opened to recognise local heroes in the 2010 Holt Australia Day Awards.
"Australia Day is a great opportunity for us to recognise the generous spirit and commitment of local volunteers," federal Holt MP Anthony Byrne said last week.
Nominations will be considered by an awards committee made up of local community group and business representatives.
Nominations close on Wednesday, January 13.
