Net access opens up e-mail bonding at shed

09 Mar, 2010 11:02 AM
LOGGING into cyberspace just got easier for some Cardinia Shire residents with free internet access at the Koo Wee Rup Men's Shed.

A $7500 State Government grant has funded the purchase of four new computers and a printer and will go towards meeting broadband costs for two years at the community centre.

Community Development minister Lily D'Ambrosio said the Public Internet Access Program was aimed at helping more people access employment, education and social opportunities online.

"The shed is providing opportunities for friendships and new connections."

Free internet access is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays at the Koo Wee Rup Men's Community Shed, Rossiter Road, Koo Wee Rup. Details: Rick, 59979679.
