MP sees red over lights

28 Jul, 2008 11:30 AM
SEVEN months after being installed, the lights are yet to be switched on at one of Casey's busiest and most congested intersections in Clyde Road, Berwick.

Eastern Region MP Edward O'Donohue said it was frustrating that motorists were still battling their way through the intersection of Enterprise Avenue and Clyde Road.

"Traffic is a major problem for Berwick residents particularly along Clyde Road and these lights were installed to help combat the problem, but without them in operation they are useless to everyone.''

Mr O'Donohue said the delay in switching on the lights was inadequate and to have them remain out of order was just not good enough.
