 Hotel seeks extended hours

Hotel seeks extended hours

27 Oct, 2008 10:47 AM
POLICE are asking for public comment on an application to extend late night trading hours at the Pakenham Hotel.

The application to Cardinia Shire Council seeks to extend the hotel's operating hours from midnight to 2am on Thursdays and Fridays (except Good Friday and Anzac Day mornings). An extension until 2am has also been requested for the Main Street hotel's external areas, which include a beer garden and deck area.

Sergeant Chris Marlow said police were not looking to influence residents' free choice of comment either in support or against the application to extend late night trading hours.

Pakenham Hotel manager Brendan Theobald said that, to date, there had been no complaints about the application.

For more details, contact Sergeant Chris Marlow on 5945 2500.
