INTERESTED in helping to preserve history for the future?

Passionate residents can join with the Berwick and Pakenham Historical Society as part of a new Heritage Care program.

Gembrook MP Tammy Lobato said the program was a great opportunity for people to interact with their local heritage while learning new skills.

"The Berwick Pakenham Historical Society collection is an important part of our region's history. By improving our understanding of the collection, we can ensure our local heritage is both well recorded and preserved for future generations," she said.

Volunteers can help catalogue artefcts such as books, family histories, art and photos.
