POLICE have warned footy fans thinking of attending the Casey Cardinia football league grand finals at Pakenham they will be keeping a close watch on antisocial behaviour.
It will be the first time the elimination, semi and grand finals have been held at Pakenham in a bonanza for the town.
With Pakenham being one of the top teams on the ladder along with Doveton, it could play a grand final on its home turf.
Casey Cardinia League is part of the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League whose operations manager Ian Benson said a 7000-strong crowd was expected at the Major Recreation Reserve.
"It will be a right mixture of teams to draw the crowds, so hopefully the weather will be good as we are expecting a good game," he said.
The grand final will be played on September 19.
Police have warned spectators they will take measures to ensure all three finals days are 'family fun' and trouble free.
Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Bruders said police were aiming for a zero-tolerance day on underage drinking and antisocial behaviour.
"There is only a small area of the grounds that will be reserved for people to consume alcohol. No alcohol is to be brought into the reserve and liquor will have to be bought at the venue.
