A CROWD of family and friends paid tribute to Endeavour Hills' Mark Zimmer, who was killed in a hit-run incident last Sunday week.

Mr Zimmer, 19, was struck by a vehicle while walking along Ormond Road in Narre Warren South at 12.30am.

He died at the scene in his father's arms.

An evening vigil mass was held for Mr Zimmer last Thursday at St Paul Apostle Parish in Endeavour Hills.

The funeral was held at Springvale Botanical Cemetery the following day.

Leon Borthwick, 18, of Narre Warren, has since been charged with Mr Zimmer's murder.

Borthwick appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court last Monday and was remanded to a committal mention on April 6.
