PUPILS at Doveton North Primary School will be spreading hope this Christmas with the help of the Starlight Children's Foundation.
The pupils have created their own paper chain, complete with words of inspiration from each of the children.
The chains will be used to decorate the Starlight Express Room at the Royal Children's Hospital to brighten the days of hospitalised children who will spend Christmas in hospital. Grade 1/2 teacher Renae Walker said the project had opened the pupils' eyes to the plight of others.
"This was a great activity from Starlight. Through the Chains of Hope it gave my class a chance to discuss how so many others will spend their holiday break," Ms Walker said.
"We spent a long time thinking of words that will bring happiness."
