Biker to pay penalty

CASEY Council is hitting motorcycle hoons hard.

In a joint action by police and the council on March 19, a motorbike rider, 22, was apprehended after being seen hooning in Rimfire Drive, Hallam.

The bike was impounded and the rider fined $1395 for offences including unlicensed driving and speeding. He must also pay the council a $352 release fee to retrieve his bike and a $200 penalty notice for riding a recreational vehicle in a public place.
