BEACONHILLS College's stage production of Grease will have "slick hair, fast cars, pastel dresses and plenty of attitude".
The college's head of performing arts, Wes Smith, says the production will have state-of-the-art light and sound experience "set to bring the venue to life."
Former Beaconshills student and first-year teacher Danielle Negri directs and choreographs the musical, which opens at the end of this month.
"It's been extremely interesting and a massive learning curve," Ms Negri says. "The kids have been fantastic and have provided much inspiration."
The cast of 80 includes students from year 5 to VCE level, with the majority being from years 7 and 8. The two leads are year 10 students Kyle Goldsworth and Jade Auffray.
"They are just brilliant," Ms Negri says.
Mr Smith says Grease appeals to a wide audience and "brings smiles to people's faces".
"The entire cast and crew have worked incredibly hard
... it's a remarkable achievement and has to be seen to be believed."
Tickets can be purchased from the Beaconhills College Village Campus, Ph 1300 002 225, with performances on August 28, 29 and 30.
