Going wild these school holidays

21 Jan, 2008 02:05 PM
BERWICK Church of Christ was transformed into a Wild West wonderland last week as part of its annual school holiday adventure program.

This year's production of The Adventures of the Wild Wild West attracted more than 400children during the week.

Church Pastor Dave Marrett, who organised and wrote the production, says it had been an "adventure of a lifetime" for the participants.

When the Journal visited last Tuesday, participants like 12-year-old Tim and 9-year-old Katie couldn't help but get caught up in the atmosphere of the Wild West. In preparation for the finale gala theatrical show last Friday night, the children helped make props, including covered wagons and cowboy hats.

The show told the story of two villainous brothers who attempt to take over the town of Peaceful Junction.

But their plans become unstuck when they run into the town's sheriff, Chris P. Bacon.
